The most common reasons that you can't receive mail is because Tiger Envelopes isn't running or the mail client isn't configured properly. Here are a few things you can check to verify that everything is ready:
- Start Tiger's control panel
- Check on the status of Tiger Envelopes and restart it if necessary.
- Make sure that you have an Account configured in Tiger Envelopes that matches the email address in your mail client. If not, add an account and then exit the control panel.
- Start your mail client.
- Open the preferences for the account.
- Verify that the server is set to 127.0.0.1.
- Verify that the port is set correctly:
POP3: 9110
IMAP: 9143- Verify that all the security settings are set to None. Tiger will automatically establish a secure connection with the mail server if appropriate.
- Verify that the user name is set with the original user name followed by @@ and your email address. For example, if your original user name was test and your email address is test@mycompany.com, then the user name should be test@@test@mycompany.com.
There's a known issue with IMAP accounts, especially when accessed from Thunderbird or Outlook.
