Why do I need to verify someone's key? |

If you don't verify a key your mail with the key's owner may not be safe. A snoop could read and even forge messages between you. The email will appear to be from the right person, but won't be. Make sure others verify your own key too.
Tiger can't verify the key for you because if an attacker has managed to send you a fake key, they can send you a fake verification. That's why you verify keys by phone, fax, or in person.
